Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to the Journal of Smart Agribusiness undergoes a rigorous screening and review process to ensure scientific quality.
1. Initial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief first reviews the manuscript to ensure it falls within the journal's scope and complies with the author guidelines and similarity checks (Plagiarism Policy). Manuscripts that fail this stage are rejected without review.
2. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers. We employ a Double-Blind Review system, where the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
3. Review Criteria
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and novelty.
- Methodological rigor.
- Clarity of presentation.
- Contribution to the field of Agribusiness.
4. Decision
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept Submission: Published with no changes.
- Revisions Required: Accepted after minor changes.
- Resubmit for Review: Major changes required; sent back for another round of review.
- Decline Submission: Rejected.
The typical time for the first round of review is approximately 4-8 weeks.
