Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Submitted manuscripts to Journal of Smart Agribusiness and Digitalisation (JSAD) undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the academic quality, originality, and relevance of published articles. JSAD applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process.

1. Initial Review

The editor evaluates the submitted manuscript to determine whether it complies with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, and basic academic standards. At this stage, the manuscript is also subjected to a similarity check using plagiarism detection software.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements or contain a high level of similarity will be returned to the author without further review.

2. Peer Review

The editor evaluates the submitted manuscript to determine whether it complies with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, and basic academic standards. At this stage, the manuscript is also subjected to a similarity check using plagiarism detection software.

3. Reviewer Recommendation

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, recommendations are provided to the editor. JSAD recognizes four possible editorial decisions:

  1. Accepted, as it is
  2. Accepted with Minor Revisions (authors are required to revise within the stipulated time)
  3. Accepted with Major Revisions (authors are required to revise within the stipulated time)
  4. Rejected

4. Revision Stage

If revisions are required, the manuscript is returned to the author along with reviewers’ comments. The author must revise the manuscript accordingly and resubmit it within the specified deadline. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation if deemed necessary by the editor.

5. Final Decision

The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is made by the editor based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the author’s revisions. The editor’s decision is final.

6. Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and proofreading before being published in the journal. Authors are given the opportunity to review the final version before publication.
