Journal of Laboratory Analysis (JLAS) welcomes original and high-quality manuscripts within the scope of laboratory analysis, analytical sciences, laboratory technologies, and applied scientific research.
Authors are encouraged to carefully read the following information before submitting a manuscript.
Author Guidelines
Authors should follow the JLAS Author Guidelines when preparing their manuscripts. The guidelines provide information on manuscript structure, formatting, authorship, references, ethical requirements, and the submission process.
Manuscript Template
Authors should use the official JLAS Manuscript Template when preparing their manuscripts.
The template provides the recommended format for the title, author information, abstract, keywords, main text, tables, figures, references, and other manuscript components.
Submission Guidelines
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the JLAS Online Journal System (OJS).
Before submission, authors should ensure that:
- The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
- The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
- The manuscript follows the JLAS Author Guidelines.
- All authors have approved the submitted manuscript.
- The manuscript complies with the journal's publication ethics requirements.
- All required submission information and files have been provided.
Publication Ethics
Authors are required to comply with the JLAS Publication Ethics policy.
JLAS does not tolerate plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, or other forms of academic misconduct.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and, where appropriate, external peer review.
JLAS uses a double-blind peer review process. Authors should ensure that their manuscripts are prepared appropriately for anonymous review.
Author Fees
JLAS does not charge authors any submission fees or article processing charges (APCs).
There are no publication fees for accepted manuscripts.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors should review the JLAS Copyright Notice and applicable licensing terms before submitting their manuscripts.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all materials used in their manuscripts are properly cited and that permission is obtained where required.
