Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Authors retain the copyright of their published work and grant the Journal of Laboratory Analysis (JLAS) the right of first publication.
By submitting a manuscript to JLAS, authors agree that, if the manuscript is accepted for publication, it will be published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License, which permits others to share, adapt, and redistribute the work in any medium or format, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the source.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that the submitted manuscript is original and does not infringe upon the copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third party. Authors must obtain permission for the use of copyrighted materials, including figures, tables, photographs, or substantial excerpts, where required.
Publication in JLAS does not prevent authors from using their work for academic, educational, or other lawful purposes, provided that the original publication in JLAS is appropriately acknowledged.
