Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. General Information

INTAN (International Journal of Testing, Assessment, and Evaluation in Education) publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, theoretical analyses, and reviews in the fields of educational testing, assessment, measurement, and evaluation.
Manuscripts submitted to INTAN must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and methodological rigor.

2. Language

Manuscripts must be written in English using clear, academic, and concise language. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts proofread by a professional editor prior to submission.

3. Manuscript Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)

  • Paper size: A4

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides

  • Font: Book Antiqua, 12 pt

  • Line spacing: 1.15

  • Alignment: Justified

  • Length: 4,000 – 9,000 words (excluding references)

  • Page numbers must be included.
