Economic exploitation of children constitutes a grave violtion child welfare, wherein minors are subjected to excessive or inppropriate utilization by parents, guardians, or third parties for pecuniary gain, disregarding principles of propriety and well being. This phenomenon unequivocally criminalized under Law Number 35 of 2014, which amends Law Number 23 of 2002 on Child Protection in practice and the impediments thereto, as administered by the Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection Agency of Gresik Regency. This inquiry is precipitated by prevailing field conditions and statistical data from the Central Statistics Agency of East Java. Which document Gresik’s myriad social predicaments fostering such exploitation. Furthermore, Gresik’s mulfaceted allure as a locus of historicl siginificance, a hub of Islamic scholarship (kota), an industrial nexus, and a demographic magnet draws influxes of eternal populations engaging in exploitative practices. Employing an empirical qualitative methodology, this research yields descriptive analytical data derived from fieldwork and interviews, dissecting the issue from the vantage points of purportedly exploited children, the Civic Service Police Unit of child economic exploitation in Gresik Regency, predominantly attributable to migrant populations driven by multifarious factors santri. The KBPPPA Agency of Gresik Regency legal protection to exploited children through varios stage and strives for the best interests of the child. However, because the social problems are so complex in Gresik regency, the practice of economic exploitation requires real cooperation from various parties in Gresik Regency.
