Cultural differences shape HRM strategies but comparative analyses between South Korea and France remain limited, hindering the design of context-sensitive human resource practices. This paper aims to describe and compare cross-cultural human resource management (HRM) practices in France and South Korea. A descriptive qualitative literature review was conducted, synthesizing empirical and theoretical sources on recruitment, selection, training, development, compensation, and occupational health and safety. he analysis indicates significant divergences rooted in national culture: South Korean HRM emphasizes hierarchy, organizational harmony, loyalty, and collective discipline, while French HRM favors flatter structures, individual autonomy, work–life separation, and result orientation. These cultural patterns influence leadership styles, motivation, and safety management. Multinational organizations should adopt culturally attuned HRM strategies, adapting recruitment, reward, training, and OHS policies—to improve performance and employee well-being, ultimately enhancing sustainable organizational outcomes.
