Asean Journal of Self and Psychological Measurement (AJSPM) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published triannually by the Faculty of Psychology, State University of Surabaya, Indonesia. The journal is available online as an open-access publication. This section outlines the ethical standards and responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, editorial board members, reviewers, and the publisher. This statement is based on Elsevier’s Publishing Ethics and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

 

  • Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of articles in Asean Journal of Self and Psychological Measurement (AJSPM) is a fundamental component in the development of a credible and respected body of psychological knowledge, particularly in the fields of psychometrics, experimental psychology, developmental psychology, and educational psychology. Published works reflect the quality of research conducted by authors and the institutions supporting them, while peer-reviewed articles uphold and promote rigorous scientific standards.

It is therefore essential to establish clear ethical standards for all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, reviewers, the publisher, and the academic community.   • Duties of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to Asean Journal of Self and Psychological Measurement (AJSPM) are expected to adhere to ethical standards in conducting and reporting their research. Authors must ensure that submitted works are original, accurately presented, and have not been published or submitted elsewhere.

Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.
