Allegations of Research Misconduct

Asean Journal of Self and Psychological Measurement (AJSPM) takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to, plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, inappropriate authorship claims, duplicate submission, and unethical research practices.

Any allegation of research misconduct related to manuscripts submitted to or published in AJSPM will be handled in accordance with the principles and procedures recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Allegations may be reported by reviewers, editors, readers, or other parties and will be assessed confidentially and objectively.

Upon receiving an allegation, the editorial team will conduct a preliminary evaluation to determine whether further investigation is warranted. If necessary, the authors will be contacted and given an opportunity to respond. In cases where misconduct is confirmed, appropriate actions will be taken, which may include manuscript rejection, publication of corrections or retractions, and notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions.

AJSPM ensures that all investigations are conducted fairly, transparently, and without prejudice, while safeguarding the rights of all parties involved.

  • Retraction Policy

Asean Journal of Self and Psychological Measurement (AJSPM) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Articles may be retracted if there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to research misconduct, honest error, or unethical research practices.

Retraction may be initiated by the authors, editors, or the publisher. Retraction notices will clearly identify the retracted article, state the reason for retraction, and be linked to the original publication. Retracted articles will remain accessible for the purpose of transparency but will be clearly marked as retracted.

AJSPM follows the guidelines and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling retractions.
