The Influence of Istighosah School Culture on the Religious Character of Elementary School Students in Tulungagung

Abstract
Religious character education is an important aspect in the world of education, especially at the elementary school level, because this period is the initial foundation for the formation of individual character. One way that is often used to build students' religious character is through the implementation of a religious-based school culture, such as istigosah. Istigosah, as a spiritual prayer activity together, can be a means to instill religious values such as piety, sincerity, togetherness, and responsibility in students. This study is to describe how to instill religious character education through the habituation method in Elementary Schools in Tulungagung. The type of this research is quantitative Where the approach used is quantitative descriptive. Furthermore, data is obtained through interviews, observations and documentation. This research method with a quasi-experimental design, involving 50 students who are divided into two classes (experimental and control) divided into two classes (experimental and control). The researcher used 3 types of data analysis, namely data normality test, data homogeneity test, Independent Sample T-Test test using JAMOVI 2.3.2 software for windows. From the results of the research and discussion on the Independent Sample T-test, it can be seen that the P value obtained is 0.152. Because the p value> 0.05, Ho is accepted so that it can be said to be smaller/lower than (<0.05). The p value <0.05 then Ho is rejected so that it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. There is no influence of the religious character of elementary school students in the experimental class with the control class at the time of the pre-test, while at the time of the post-test in the control and experimental classes, the p value <0.001 was obtained. The conclusion is that there is a significant influence on religious character between students who have istighosah habits and students who do not have istighosah habits.
