About the Journal

LANGSFERA: Language, Literature, and Education Research Arena is an international scholarly journal published by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), Campus 5, Indonesia. The journal provides an academic platform for disseminating original research articles, theoretical studies, and critical reviews in the fields of language, literature, and language education. LANGSFERA aims to promote interdisciplinary scholarly dialogue and advance knowledge by connecting linguistic, literary, educational, and sociocultural perspectives in local, national, and global contexts.

LANGSFERA welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions that examine diverse dimensions of language use, linguistic phenomena, literary expression, and language and literature education. The journal publishes theoretical, empirical, and applied research that offers significant contributions to the development of scholarship and educational practice. Submissions should demonstrate sound theoretical foundations, appropriate research methods, and clear implications for the advancement of knowledge in the relevant fields.

The scope of LANGSFERA includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Language and Linguistics in Context: Linguistic structures, language use, discourse, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, and language in social, cultural, and digital contexts.
  2. Literature and Sociocultural Representation: Literary criticism, literary theory, literary works and their interpretations, cultural identity, representation, and the relationship between literature and society.
  3. Language and Literature Education through Critical Literacy: Language teaching and learning, literature education, curriculum and pedagogy, literacy development, critical literacy, educational innovation, and technology-enhanced language and literature learning.

LANGSFERA is published biannually, in June and December, by Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA), Campus 5, Indonesia. All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process to ensure scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and academic integrity. Manuscripts must be written in clear, proper academic English and must comply with the journal's author guidelines and publication ethics policies.
