Respon Guru Terhadap Pertanyaan Siswa Pada Pembelajaran Biologi di SMA

Abstract

Cara berkomunikasi dengan peserta didik sering diabaikan oleh guru karena fokus pada penyampaian materi sesuai pesan kurikulum. Tidak terkecuali pada pembelajaran biologi, bahkan seyogyanya lebih menekankan proses dari pada penanaman konsep. Penelitian kelas ini bertujuan menjelaskan tanggapan guru terhadap pertanyaan siswa berkaitan dengan komunikasi yang ia gunakan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang didekati dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan subyek penelitian adalah guru biologi yang mengajar kelas X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Barabai tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Observasi dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data menggunakan format respon guru terhadap pertanyaan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada tiga macam respon guru terhadap pertanyaan siswa yakni verbal, non verbal dan positif. Respon verbal dan positif menempati (86,7%) dan respon non verbal (60%), persentasi respon non verbal ini terlalu besar, oleh karena itu, guru seyogyanya merespon positif setiap pertanyaan siswa.

The communication aspect is often overlooked because the teacher only focuses on the delivery of material according to the curriculum message. It is no exception to biology learning, it should even emphasize the process rather than conceptualizing. This class study aims to explain the teacher's response to student inquiries related to the communication he uses. Descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. The research subject of biology teacher who teaches class X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Barabai academic year 2017/2018. Data were collected through observation using teacher response format to students' questions. Data analysis is done by the descriptive method. The results showed that there are three kinds of teacher responses to the student's questions verbal, non-verbal and positive. Verbal and positive responses occupy (86.7%) and non-verbal responses (60%), the percentage of non-verbal responses is too great, therefore teachers should respond positively to each student's question.
