Focus and Scope
Jurnal Bikotetik (Bimbingan dan Konseling: Teori dan Praktik) is aimed at practitioners (teachers, counselors, observers, etc.) and academics. Access to the journal is FREE for readers, but authors who wish to publish an article will be charged. Articles published in this journal may include research results, community service results in the area of Counseling and Guidance, and literacy studies in counseling guidance.

Peer Review Process
Journal reviewers for Bikotetik are professionals in Guidance and Counseling with a minimum of an S2 (Magister) education qualification. Areas of expertise include Multicultural Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Guidance and Counseling (Counseling Theory, Strategy and Techniques, Career Guidance and Counseling, Gender, Spiritual Counseling).
All articles submitted to Bikotetik (Counseling Guidance: Theory and Practice) will be selected, read, and reviewed in a closed (blind peer review) by at least one reviewer who is an expert in their field. The acceptance of an article depends on the accuracy of the content, the degree of originality, clarity of description, and conformity with the journal's objectives.
The Editorial Board's decision on submitted articles can be to accept without revision, accept with minor revisions, accept with major revisions, or reject. Review results will be communicated to the author via email. Authors are given the opportunity to revise their articles in accordance with reviewers' suggestions (and the editor's) within 4 weeks after receiving the notification email.
To prevent plagiarism, all submitted articles will be checked for authenticity using Turnitin anti-plagiarism software.
The entire process of peer review and publishing is free of charge. All articles published in Bikotetik are open access under the Creative Commons: Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. Full license details can be found here.
Publication Frequency
Jurnal Bikotetik (Bimbingan dan Konseling: Teori dan Praktik) is published twice a year in May and November (one volume with two issues). Initially, five articles are published per issue. Starting from Volume 2, Number 1, ten articles will be published per issue.
Anti-plagiarism Policy
All articles submitted to Jurnal Bikotetik must be original works (free of plagiarism). The submitted article must not have been published elsewhere, nor be under consideration for publication in any other media. Authors are responsible for the authenticity of the submitted manuscripts. All submitted articles will be checked for authenticity using Turnitin anti-plagiarism software. Any instances of high-level plagiarism will result in a temporary or permanent ban from the journal.

All articles submitted are subject to a processing fee.

Journal History
Jurnal Bikotetik (Bimbingan dan Konseling: Teori dan Praktik) was established by the Department of Guidance and Counseling, Faculty of Education, Unesa in May 2017. The publication of this journal is motivated by the need for online-based journals and the rapid development of theory and practice in Guidance and Counseling in Indonesia. This journal is published twice a year in May and November, with ten articles per issue starting from Volume 2, Number 1. This increase in articles is aimed at preparing the journal for accreditation. A revised template has been used starting from Volume 7, Number 1.
