PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH TULANG IKAN MANYUNG (ARIUS THALASSINUS) SEBAGAI MATERIAL IMPLAN GIGI
Keywords:
Hydroxyapatite, Manyung Fish Bone, Dental implantAbstract
Research was conducted on the manufacture of dental implant material made from raw fish bone (Arius thalassinus). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of calcination temperature on the physical and chemical characteristics of hydroxyapatite of manyung fish bone waste. The method used in this study is the sol gel method. Synthesis of hydroxyapatite will be compared with chemical and physical characteristics using a FT-IR septtrototometer to see the functional groups HAp and XRD to see the crystal phases. The research data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative techniques. The results showed that the synthesis of HAp carried out at a temperature of 800â°C resulted in a fairly low (amorphous) HAp crystallinity. The temperature of 900â°C produces quite high crystallinity and purity of HAp. Whereas at 1000â°C HAp was obtained with low crystallinity due to agglomeration. FTIR characterization showed the presence of PO43-, CO32-, and OH- adsorption bands derived from hydroxyapatite
