Currently, rice husks are not used properly, so that rice husks can pollute the environment if not properly processed. The contents are cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, crude protein and ash containing silica. The core content of rice husk is xylose, arabinose and glucose. This research will develop xylose separation product using hydrolysis method with NaOH and H2SO4. Analysis of xylose in rice husk waste using a UV-Vis spectrophotometric instrument was then analyzed to perform the separation by column chromatography with the aim of separating the content of rice husk compounds, especially xylose. After separating, the FTIR test was carried out to determine the groups in the wave number. The FTIR spectra showed the presence of –OH groups at wave numbers 3300-3500 cm-1. The absorption band C=O from the carboxyl group at wave number 1641.48 cm-1, C-H absorption at wave number 2929.97 cm-1, C-C absorption at wave number 1408.08 and 1398.44 cm-1.
