OPTIMASI POTENSI EKSTRAK RIMPANG TEMULAWAK (Curcuma xanthorrhiza) PADA pH BASA SEBAGAI SENSITIZER DSSC
Abstract
Dye Sensitized Solar Cell or DSSC is a solar cell that is environmentally friendly and practical in its fabrication. DSSC uses dyes or pigment extracts from natural plants as sensitizer agents. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimal curcuma rhizome extract from the optimization of pH under alkaline conditions which has the potential as a sensitier in DSSC. Optimization was carried out with a pH range of 8 to 13. Characterization of the extracted compounds was carried out using a uv-vis spectrophotometer instrument. The resulting wavelength is 422 nm. This is related to the curcumin pigment compound in the curcuma rhizome. Determination of band gap energy using voltammetric instruments. The best band gap energy is found at pH 13, which is 0.42847 eV. Curcuma rhizome extract with ethanol solvent at pH 13 has the potential as a sensitizer in DSSCDownloads
