Abstract

Digitalization has become a strategic need for SMEs in Indonesia in responding to dynamic modern business changes. However, sustainable technology adoption still faces various challenges, and there is no comprehensive mapping of SME digitalization strategies based on the latest scientific literature. This study aims to summarize and analyze strategic approaches and supporting factors for the sustainability of SME digitalization through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. A total of 30 Scopus-indexed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 were thematically analyzed using a descriptive-qualitative method. The results of the study show six main strategies in SME digitalization, namely: optimizing digital channels for marketing, digitalizing business processes, strengthening dynamic capabilities, ecosystem collaboration, policy support, and adapting organizational culture and digital leadership. The findings also show that the sustainability of technology adoption depends on internal readiness, external support, and adaptive ability to change. This study provides theoretical contributions to an integrative understanding of the TOE, RBV, and dynamic capability models, as well as practical implications for stakeholders in designing sustainable SME digital transformation strategies in Indonesia.
