Publication Ethics
EDULEARN: Journal of Education and Learning Policy is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and academic quality. All parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to comply with ethical standards based on the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Responsibilities of Authors
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must submit original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by another journal. Proper acknowledgment and citation of all sources, ideas, data, figures, and previously published works are required.
Data Integrity
Authors are responsible for presenting accurate, honest, and reliable research data. Fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or intentional omission of research data constitutes unethical publishing behavior.
Multiple Submission
Submitting the same or substantially similar manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is considered unethical and is strictly prohibited.
Authorship
Only individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions to the research should be listed as authors. Contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.
Conflict of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or outcomes of their research.
Funding Acknowledgment
All financial support, research grants, and institutional assistance related to the study must be clearly acknowledged in the manuscript.
Corrections and Retractions
If authors discover significant errors in their published work, they must promptly notify the Editor to facilitate the publication of a correction or retraction where appropriate.
Responsibilities of Editors
Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on their scholarly merit without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.
Editors must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts, avoid conflicts of interest, and investigate suspected ethical misconduct in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers contribute to editorial decisions by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations.
Reviewers are expected to:
- maintain the confidentiality of manuscripts;
- provide unbiased and evidence-based assessments;
- identify relevant literature that has not been cited;
- report suspected plagiarism or duplicate publication; and
- decline the review if any conflict of interest exists.
Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher supports editorial independence and ensures that all publishing processes are conducted according to internationally recognized ethical standards.
The publisher is committed to preserving academic integrity, supporting editors in handling allegations of publication misconduct, and cooperating with relevant institutions whenever necessary in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
