Author Guidelines

  1. Articles written for VISIORA: Journal of Creative Industries and Vocational Innovation contain conceptual ideas and research findings in the creative industries. Manuscripts should be typed in Microsoft Word, Cambria font, 12 pt, single-spaced, and printed on A4 paper with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 pages. Submissions should be made to the Open Journal System (OJS) at https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/visiora/index
  2.  Articles should be written in English. The format for conceptual articles includes the title, author(s), abstract with keywords, introduction, discussion, conclusions, and suggestions, and a bibliography. The format for research articles includes the title, author(s), abstract with keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusions and suggestions, and a bibliography.
  3. The title of the article in English should be no more than 12 words. The title should be centered in all capital letters and 14 pt font. The author(s)' names should be listed without their academic titles, along with the name and address of their institution, and placed below the article title. If the manuscript is written by a team, the editor will only deal with the main author or the author named first. The main author must include a correspondence address or email address.
  4. The abstract and keywords are written in English. The maximum length of each abstract is 250 words, while the number of keywords is 3-5 words or a combination of words. The conceptual abstract should at least include the article title, objectives, and conclusions. The research abstract should at least include the article title, objectives, methods, and research results.
  5. The introduction should include the background, literature review, and objectives. The entire introduction should be presented in an integrated paragraph, with a length of 15-20% of the total length of the article.
  6. The theoretical framework section should include the theoretical framework. The theoretical framework is the conceptual and theoretical foundation used to explain, support, and direct the research. The theoretical framework answers the questions "why" and "how" the phenomenon under study occurs, based on pre-existing theories.
  7. The methods section (if the article is a research result) or discussion (if the article is a conceptual idea). The research method consists of the research design, data sources, data collection techniques, and the actual data analysis conducted by the researcher. The discussion section contains the problem solution presented systematically and logically based on the results of thinking and a review of relevant literature (if the article is a conceptual idea). The entire method or discussion section is presented in paragraph form, 10-15% of the total length of the article.
  8. The research results section presents the analysis results related to the research question. The discussion section contains the interpretation of the results and comparisons with theories and/or similar research findings. In this conceptual article, this section is integrated with the discussion section, as mentioned in point 7. The presentation of the results and discussion should be 40-60% of the total length of the article.
  9. The conclusion section contains the research findings in the form of answers to the research question (if the article is a conceptual idea) or a summary of the discussion (if the article is a conceptual idea). The conclusion is presented in paragraph form. The recommendations section is structured based on the conclusion.
  10. All reference sources must be included in the bibliography. A minimum of 80% of the reference sources should come from literature published in the last 10 years. The references used are primary sources of research articles in journals or research reports (including theses and dissertations). Articles published in the Journal of Education are recommended for use as references.
  11. itations use the bracketed citation technique (last name, year). Direct quotations must be accompanied by the page number of the original quotation. For example: (Davis, 2003: 47).
  12. The presentation of quotations, tables, and figures follows the provisions of the Manuscript Writing Guidelines or directly copies the procedures used in published articles. English-language articles use the General English Spelling Guidelines and standard terms from the Language Center.
  13. All manuscripts are reviewed anonymously by the best peer reviewers appointed by the editor in their field of expertise. Authors are given the opportunity to make improvements (revisions) based on recommendations or suggestions from peer reviewers or editors. Confirmation of publication or rejection of manuscripts will be notified via email.
  14. All matters relating to citation permits, the use of computer software for manuscript creation, or other matters relating to the intellectual property rights of the article author, along with any legal consequences that may arise, are the full responsibility of the article author.
  15. As a prerequisite for the processing of the article, the contributor of the script must be a customer for a minimum of one year (two numbers). Articles not loaded will not be refunded, except at the author's request.
