Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

SPORTIVA: Sport Inclusivity, Value and Activity welcomes original research articles, review articles, and case studies within the journal's scope. To ensure a smooth submission and review process, please follow the guidelines below.

A. Article Structure and Formatting
Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise English (or Bahasa Indonesia, with an abstract in English) and generally follow this structure:

  1. Title Page: Should include the article title, full names of all authors, their institutional affiliations, and the email address of the corresponding author.

  2. Abstract: A single paragraph of 150-250 words, summarizing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions. Avoid citations.

  3. Keywords: 4-6 keywords that accurately reflect the article's content.

  4. Introduction: State the problem, research question, and objectives, providing a concise background and relevant literature review.

  5. Methods: Describe the research design, participants, data collection procedures, and analytical methods in sufficient detail to allow the study to be replicated.

  6. Results: Present findings clearly and logically, using tables and figures where necessary. Avoid duplicating data in text and tables.

  7. Discussion: Interpret the results, discuss their implications, and relate them to previous research. Highlight the significance and limitations of the study.

  8. Conclusion: Summarize the main findings and state the study's contributions. Recommendations for future research or practice can be included.

  9. References: List all sources cited in the text.

B. Reference Style
SPORTIVA uses the American Psychological Association 7th Edition (APA 7th) citation and reference style.

  • In-text citation: (Smith, 2020) or (Jones & Brown, 2019, p. 25).

  • Reference List Example:

    • Journal Article: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of article. Title of Journal, Volume(Issue), Page range. https://doi.org/xxxx

  • The manuscript SportivaTemplate file is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • All author identification information is removed from the main manuscript file for the blind peer-review process (e.g., using the "Inspect Document" feature in Word). This information should only be on the title page.

  • The text is double-spaced, uses a 12-point font (e.g., Times New Roman), and all figures and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.

  • All references cited in the text are listed in the References section, and vice versa, formatted in APA 7th style.
