Building Sociological Imagination through Social Media:
A Study on Instagram Account @Sociology_Perspective

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konten dan kegiatan yang disajikan akun Instagram @Sociology_Perspective sebagai upaya memperkaya pemahaman tentang sosiologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam, serta dokumentasi secara online. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa akun Instagram @Sociology_Perspective memiliki berbagai konten dan kegiatan yang terdiri dari ruang menulis, diskusi, dan informasi. Berbagai konten dan kegiatan tersebut dapat memberikan dampak yang beragam seperti menambah wawasan sosiologi, membantu peningkatan akademik mata kuliah sosiologi, meningkatkan soft skill, serta membangun daya berpikir kritis. Dampak tersebut akan membantu dalam peningkatan pemahaman dasar ilmu sosiologi dan membangun imajinasi sosiologi. Namun imajinasi sosiologi tidak dapat terbentuk hanya dengan memanfaatkan konten dan kegiatan dari akun tersebut. Membangun imajinasi sosiologis membutuhkan waktu yang lama serta kegiatan pengamatan secara langsung di masyarakat untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai realitas kehidupan sosial.
