Kapitalisasi Teknologi untuk Siaran Budaya Jawa untuk Melayani Komunitas Urban Surabaya

Studi ini mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan teknologi di Radio Media 90.1 FM untuk menyiarkan program budaya Jawa untuk peningkatan finansial. Pendengar terbesar radio ini adalah masyarakat urban Surabaya yang mencintai budaya Jawa. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi virtual sehingga peneliti dapat partisipatif secara online dan offline dengan kegiatan penyiaran. Pata peneliti mendapatkan data tentang kebijakan program dan kegiatan komunitas pecinta budaya Jawa pada saat penyiaran program budaya. Lima informan dalam studi ini, yaitu WID, ANT, SAM, GEN, MUS merupakan perwakilan unsur manajemen, programer, penyiar, teknisi, dan pendengar loyal. Studi ini menemukan bahwa adaptasi teknologi yang digunakan untuk kapitalisasi adalah aplikasi audio streaming dan Facebook. Melalui akun Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Media90.1FM), para pendengar membangun komunitas virtual pecinta budaya Jawa. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa interaksi komunitas pecinta budaya Jawa di Facebook (viewers, likes, dan comments) merupakan bentuk kapitalisasi teknologi yang diterapkan oleh Radio Media 90,1 FM sebagai data yang langsung dimanfaatkan oleh pengiklan.
