Abstract
This study aims to implement the design of avant-garde futuristic fashion inspired by Moroccan architecture, particularly the Musée de la Kasbah Tangier, through the application of geometric patterns, manipulating cording techniques, the use of compact disc (CD) materials, and the utilization of LED lighting effects on the skirt. This research is motivated by the need for deeper exploration of architectural inspiration in contemporary fashion design, particularly in terms of structural and textural approaches to garment construction. The research employed the Double Diamond method, consisting of the discover (data collection and visual exploration), define (concept formulation), develop (design development), and deliver (realization and presentation of the final garment) stages. Data were collected through observation, while data analysis was conducted based on evaluations from three fashion experts assessing aspects of form, technique, material, and visual appearance. The results indicate that the inspiration derived from Moroccan architecture can be conceptually and visually realized in avant-garde futuristic fashion design. The application of geometric patterns through manipulating cording techniques and CD materials produces a strong, reflective, and experimental visual character, while the use of LED lighting enhances the futuristic impression. Overall, the final garment aligns with the research objectives and embodies the characteristics of avant-garde futuristic fashion.
