About the Journal
The Journal of Rural and Regional Innovation Studies (IJRRIS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Center for Rural and Regional Development, Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA).
IJRRIS is dedicated to advancing knowledge, research, and innovation in the field of rural and regional development. It serves as a dynamic platform for scholars, practitioners, policymakers, and community leaders to exchange transformative ideas, practical solutions, and policy insights aimed at empowering rural communities and strengthening regional resilience.
Born from the synergy between academic rigor and grassroots realities, IJRRIS amplifies voices from the margins; bringing forward innovations rooted in local wisdom, participatory development models, digital transformation, and inclusive governance practices that catalyze sustainable change at the village and regional levels.

Vol. 1 No. 2 (2025): RURAL AND REGIONAL INNOVATION
This second issue of the Journal of Rural and Regional Innovation Studies (JORRIS), Volume 1 Number 2 (2025), presents a set of scholarly contributions that deepen the discourse on innovation, sustainability, and transformation within rural and regional contexts. The articles in this issue explore diverse themes ranging from coastal community empowerment, agricultural modernization, ecological and cultural resilience, entrepreneurial development in rural areas, multidimensional poverty assessment, and the advancement of sustainable farming systems.
