About the Journal

Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences welcomes original research articles, short communications in the multidisciplinary fields of aquaculture and aquatic sciences encompassing:

  1. aquaculture;
  2. aquaculture engineering;
  3. management in aquaculture;
  4. aquaculture nutrition;
  5. disease & immunology;
  6. fish biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology;
  7. fish physiology & endocrinology;
  8. genetic engineering & biotechnology of aquatic organisms;
  9. aquatic biology, environment, and ecology;
  10. aquatic ecological conservation and restoration techniques;
  11. aquatic organisms biodiversity.

Aquatic sciences studies examining interactions among geological, microbial, biological, chemical, physical, hydrological, and societal processes, as well as studies assessing land-water, air-water, benthic-pelagic, river-ocean, lentic-lotic, and groundwater-surface water interactions are also welcomed. The emphasize of the studies are the tropical regions and tropical biodiversity. Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences published three issues per volume, each year.
