REVITALISASI POLTEKBA ERA INDUSTRI 4.0

ABSTRAK
Hadirnya revolusi industri 4.0 telah menggeser beberapa aktifitas manusia, otomasi teknologi hampir di semua bidang pekerjaan berdampak pada keterampilan yang dibutuhkan industri. Politeknik sebagai pendidikan vokasi perlu menyiapkan langkah strategis untuk menyiapkan lulusannya agar mampu menghadapi tantangan pada era tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji revitalisasi Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan di era industri 4.0. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui observasi, wawancara, dan fokus grup diskusi (FGD). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan dapat simpulkan terdapat 7 indikator revitalisasi Politeknik untuk menjawab tantangan revolusi industri 4.0 yaitu (1) Relevansi kurikulum, (2) Dual system 3-2-1, (3) Penyiapan dosen industry, (4) Teaching factory, (5) Sertifikasi dosen dan retooling, (5) TUK dan LSP, dan (7) Sertifikasi lulusan. Revitalisasi Politeknik Negeri Balikpapan perlu dilakukan dengan harapan kelak pada gilirannya dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang siap menghadapi dan memiliki peluang memenangkan tantangan kehidupan yang semakin kompleks di abad 21 hususnya untuk menghadapi gempuran revolusi industry 4.0.

ABSTRACT
The industrial revolution 4.0 has shifted some human activities, technology automation in almost of all work fields that has impacts with the skills which are needed by industry. Polytechnic as higher vocational education needs to prepare strategic steps in creating creditabel graduates in order to face the challenges in that era. The aims of this study is to examine the revitalization of Balikpapan State Polytechnic in industrial era 4.0. The collecting the data were done through observation, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD). The data obtained were analyzed with descriptively qualitative. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that there are 7 indicators of Polytechnic revitalization to answer the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0, such as : (1) Relevance of curriculum, (2) Dual system 3-2-1, (3) Preparation of industrial lecturers, (4) Teaching factory, (5) Lecturer certification and retooling, (6) TUK and LSP, and (7) Graduate certification. The revitalization of Balikpapan State Polytechnic needs to be done and hopefully it will create graduates who are ready to face and have the opportunity to win the complex life challenges in the 21st century especially in industrial revolution 4.0.

3. Author Online Use
