We are delighted to announce that the Journal of Indonesian Literacy and Indigenous Culture (JILIC) is now accepting submissions for its upcoming editions. As a peer-reviewed journal published biannually in April and October by the Centre of Literacy, Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa), JILIC provides an interdisciplinary platform for innovative research and critical discussions in the fields of Indonesian literacy, language, and culture.

About JILIC

JILIC publishes original research articles and literature review studies that integrate diverse approaches, including but not limited to:

Submission Guidelines
  • Articles must be written in good English and adhere to the provided manuscript template.
  • Manuscripts should range from 4,000 to 8,000 words, excluding references and abstract.
  • Use APA (7th edition) for references and citation management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero.
  • Submissions should include the following sections:
    • Title: Informative, concise, and no longer than 15 words.
    • Abstract: 150-200 words summarizing research objectives, methods, findings, and implications.
    • Keywords: 3-5 keywords for indexing purposes.
    • Introduction: Background, problem statement, literature review, research gap, and objectives.
    • Methods: Detailed and replicable methodology.
    • Results and Discussion: Focused on principal findings and their implications.
    • Conclusion: Research contributions and practical or theoretical implications.
    • Acknowledgments (if applicable).
    • References: Up-to-date sources (80% from the last 10 years).
