Mitos Nyembelih Kerbau Jantan dalam Ruwah Desa di Desa Puri, Kecamatan Puri, Kabupaten Mojokerto (Kajian Foklore)

Abstract

The myth of male buffalo in Ruwah Desa (MMKLSRD) is one of the traditions in Puri Village, Puri District, Mojokerto Regency. The tradition is the result of generations of elders in Puri Village which is still maintained until today. The tradition is carried out during the month of Ruwah every year by slaughtering a male buffalo that has no defects. However, if these conditions are not met, it will lead to undesirable events. The purpose of carrying out the tradition is as a form of gratitude, a form of respect to the elders while the tradition is still alive by the community of supporters, and as a means of praying to be kept away from danger. Based on the basis above, the purpose of the research is: 1) How did MMKLSRD start, 2) How did MMKLSRD conduct, 3) How did the medicine used in MMKLSRD, 4) What was the myth of MMKLSRD. The purpose of this research is: 1) Explain the beginning of MMKLSRD, 2) Explain the procedure of MMKLSRD, 3) Explain the cure of MMKLSRD, and 4) Explain the myth of MMKLSRD. The basis of analysis is used to solve the problem in this study, the tradition, the beginning, the practice of using Danandjaja folklore theory. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative while the method of collecting data is through observation and interview. The results of the MMKLSRD research are: 1) the community will suffer a lot, 2) the blood of the male buffalo must be poured into the rice paddies so that the disease will disappear and the water flows, and 3) during the wayang performance, they must use good performances as the hope of the community to live their lives in the coming year. Abstrak

Mitos nyembelih kerbau jantan di Ruwah Desa (MMKLSRD) merupakan salah satu tradisi di Desa Puri, Kecamatan Puri, Kabupaten Mojokerto. Tradisi hasil turun temurun di Desa Puri ini masih dipertahankan hingga saat ini. Tradisi tersebut dilakukan pada bulan Ruwah setiap tahunnya dengan menyembelih seekor kerbau jantan yang tidak cacat. Namun, jika kondisi tersebut tidak terpenuhi, maka akan menimbulkan kejadian yang tidak diinginkan. Tujuan dilaksanakannya tradisi tersebut adalah sebagai bentuk rasa syukur, bentuk penghormatan kepada sesepuh selama masih hidup tradisi oleh masyarakat pendukungnya, dan sebagai sarana berdoa agar dijauhkan dari mara bahaya. Berdasarkan landasan di atas maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Bagaimana MMKLSRD bermula, 2) Bagaimana pelaksanaan MMKLSRD, 3) Bagaimana ubarampe yang digunakan di MMKLSRD, 4) Apa mitos MMKLSRD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Menjelaskan awal MMKLSRD, 2) Menjelaskan prosedur MMKLSRD, 3) Menjelaskan ubarampe MMKLSRD, dan 4) Menjelaskan mitos MMKLSRD. Dasar analisis yang digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah tradisi, awal mula, praktik penggunaan teori Danandjaja. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif sedangkan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian MMKLSRD adalah: 1) masyarakat akan banyak yang mati, 2) darah kerbau jantan harus dialirkan ke sawah agar penyakit hilang terbawa air mengalir, dan 3) selama pementasan wayang harus menceritakan cerita yang baik sebagai harapan masyarakat untuk menjalani kehidupannya di tahun yang akan datang.
