Abstract

Majority of high school students have low learning outcomes in Arts and Culture subject. They consider this subject as less important and useful to be learnt. The various games in a condusive environment (learning with fun) enables the students to enjoy the learning process. The aims of study are to identify: (1) the effect on students achievement between groups which were treated using games and those who were not given any treatment, (2) the effect of cognitive style towards students achievement, (3) the interactions between games instruction method and cognitive style towards students achievement in Arts and Culture. Games could be an alternatif method as a solution to increase students' interest and promote students creativity in gaining information in order to improve student learning outcomes in art and culture. Moreover, it also could provide an opportunity for students to study based on their cognitive style.
