DETERMINATION OF ROUTE OF DISTRIBUTION OF LPG GAS 3 KG USING MATRIX SAVING METHOD

Abstract

PT Enviro Central Indogas is a 3 kg lpg gas distribution agent located in Bolaang Mongondow Selatan Regency. This company has a distribution mechanism that is not optimal in the delivery of 3 kg lpg gas to each sub-agent, so that it has an impact on the cost of distributing lpg gas. This research was conducted to determine the distribution route of 3 kg lpg gas using the saving matrix method which aims to solve the problem of the 3 kg lpg gas distribution route at PT Enviro Central Indogas. The data required includes the distance between the depot and the customer and the distance between the customers, the number of requests for each customer, the number of vehicles used, and the capacity of each vehicle used. The research data is then processed and completed with the saving matrix method. In general, the steps of the matrix saving method are; define distance matrices, define savings matrices, allocate vehicles and routes, and sort customers on a route. The results of the research show that by using the saving matrix method the distance traveled is more optimal than the previous distance and the costs incurred are less than the previous costs.
