The flipped classroom is a significant instructional approach that is commonly used at institutions. The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of the integration of the flipped classroom model with Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) on the enhancement of critical thinking abilities and creativity among student instructors in the development of science learning materials. A sample of 250 student on preservice teacher education in state university in Indonesia, participated in a semi-experimental research study using a pretest-posttest approach. The experimental group had 125 students who were exposed to FC-TPACK, whereas the control group consisted of 125 students undergoing traditional learning. Essay prompts and task outcomes are utilized to gather data about pupils' aptitude for critical thinking and originality. The data were subjected to MANOVA to examine the impact of the learning model, and ANOVA was employed to identify variations in each aspect. The statistical analysis results, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicate that FC-TPACK has a significant impact on students' critical thinking skills and creativity. Hence, the utilization of the FC-TPACK model is strongly advocated for learning purposes due to its capacity to enhance the critical thinking abilities and creativity of student on preservice teacher education.
2024-07-02T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 EduStream: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/jpd/article/view/32693 STUDY ON READING LITERACY IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS: BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS 2013-2023 2024-07-01T22:32:02+07:00 Supriyati Fatma Rabia s.fatmarabia9@gmail.com Gamal Abdul Nasir Zakaria gamaladbulnz@gmail.com Nurul Istiq’faroh nurulistiqfaroh@unesa.ac.id Hitta Alfi Muhimmah hittaalfimuhimmah@unesa.ac.id Amiruddin Hadi Wibowo amiruddinhadiw@gmail.com
This study examines scholarly literature on reading literacy in elementary schools from 2013 to 2023 through bibliometric analysis. A total of 649 documents from the Scopus database were analyzed to identify research trends, geographic distribution, researcher collaborations, and frequently discussed topics. Findings indicate a significant increase in publications, particularly in the last five years, reflecting growing interest in reading literacy. The most cited article, “Closing the achievement gap through modification of neurocognitive and neuroendocrine function” by Blair & Raver (2014), highlights effective interventions in reading literacy. The journal “Reading Teacher” is the most productive source with 20 papers, and Florida State University is the most prolific institution. The United States contributes the most papers (326), showing leadership in this field. VOSviewer thematic mapping shows primary focuses on teaching practices, intervention effectiveness, and learning experiences. Density visualizations show that literacy practices, experiences, effects, and interventions are frequently researched themes. These findings offer valuable insights for researchers, educators, and policymakers to reimprove ading literacy in elementary schools, emphasizing the importance of institutional collaboration and evidence-based interventions in improving educational outcomes.
2024-05-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 EduStream: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/jpd/article/view/32746 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE HERO WASTE APPLICATION TO INCREASE ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS OF MI AT-TAUFIQ STUDENTS IN THE MERDEKA CURRICULUM 2024-06-20T14:26:48+07:00 Ricky Setiawan rickysetiawan@unesa.ac.id Donne Jone P. This research aims to enhance environmental awareness by implementing a Project to Strengthen the Profile of Pancasila Students or Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) with the integration of the Hero Waste application in managing waste in their life. The research was conducted at MI AT-Taufiq with 79 fourth-grade students as research subjects. The type of research used was classroom action research consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and then analyzed using quantitative analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that there was an increase in environmental awareness attitudes among students at MI AT-Taufiq. The calculation results of the N-Gain formula show an increase from cycle I to cycle II amounting to 0.45. The N-Gain value in the range of 0.3 ≤ g ≤ 0.7 is classified as moderate. This is indicated by students beginning to separate their waste into three categories: organic waste, inorganic waste, and residue, as well as taking action to recycle waste into artwork.
2024-05-26T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 EduStream: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/jpd/article/view/31132 AN ANALYSIS OF THE PLOT IN THE FAIRY TALE "PRINCESS 5 BENUA" AS AN ALTERNATIVE TEACHING MATERIAL FOR RETELLING EVENTS IN FICTION TEXTS FOR FIFTH GRADE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS 2024-05-15T23:11:17+07:00 Widjojoko Widjojoko widjojoko@upi.edu Deni Wardana dewa@upi.edu Ajeng Annisa ajeungannisa@gmail.com
In the implementation of a lesson, there are activities to transfer knowledge between teachers and students. During the learning process, teachers should not only provide material, but must develop and prepare teaching materials. In Indonesian learning, there are skills that students must master such as writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills. Therefore, teaching materials are needed to train students to acquire these skills. In reality, teachers only use teaching materials available from package books and thematic books provided by the government. Teachers hope that there will be more varied teaching materials to better support learning and more detailed material. This study aims to make teaching materials more varied and more detailed material so that students are more interested in understanding the material taught. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis methods. Then the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis, various interrelated pieces of events have been found which are referred to as storylines. Then based on the time sequence, there are 29 subtitles using 7 forward flow patterns and 1 subheading whose presenter uses 1 mixed flow pattern. This proves that the forward plot is the dominant plot used in the fairy tale book. Based on the results of the analysis in the fairy tale book, it can be concluded that learning Indonesian using appropriate teaching materials can provide the latest alternative teaching materials.
2024-05-28T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 EduStream: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/jpd/article/view/31118 DEVELOPMENT OF "SIMEZA" APPLICATION TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF ZAKAT FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS 2024-05-15T23:13:36+07:00 Ravida Azkia ravidaazkia05@upi.edu Nurcahyani Puspitasari nurcahyani2021@gmail.com Ani Nur Aeni nuaini26@gmail.com
The world of education is no longer unfamiliar with the terms learning media, teaching tools, and so on. In this era of modernization, everything is required to be completely digital, even remote areas must follow current developments so as not to be left behind. So that the students' learning process must be digitally based. This is what underlies the presence of SIMEZA (Application for Getting to Know Zakat) as a solution to help teachers present learning material about zakat in a more interactive and interesting way. SIMEZA was designed in response to the need for a more dynamic and interesting learning approach for students, especially in the midst of the transformation towards digital-based learning. By using SIMEZA, teachers can easily integrate zakat concepts into their learning, creating a more enjoyable and interesting learning experience for students. Through the D&D (Design and Development) research method and data collection techniques through interviews and filling out questionnaires by PAI subject teachers in elementary schools. Implemented at SDN Sukasirna I Sumedang, SIMEZA was successfully proven to be an effective and innovative learning tool. With trial results showing significant benefits in the process of delivering zakat material in class VI, SIMEZA strengthens its relevance as an educational solution that meets the demands of this digital era.
2024-05-27T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 EduStream: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar
