About the Journal
Journal of Food Technology, Safety, and Sustainability (JFTSS) is an international, peer reviewed, open-access journal that publishes high-quality original research articles, review papers, and short communications in the fields of food technology, food safety, and sustainable food systems. JFTSS published and managed by Faculty of Food Security, Universitas Negeri Surabaya.
The journal aims to provide a dynamic platform for scientists, researchers, and practitioners to disseminate innovative findings, emerging technologies, and advanced applications that support the development of safe, nutritious, and sustainable food systems. The journal welcomes contributions from academia, industry, and policy sectors that advance scientific knowledge and practical solutions in the food sector.
Publication Frequency : two issue per year (April and October)
Focus and Scope
The scope includes, but is not limited to:
- Advanced food processing technologies (thermal and non-thermal) and innovative product development
- Functional foods, nutraceuticals, bioactive compounds, and applied food chemistry and biotechnology
- Food safety, microbiology, quality assurance, and analytical methods
- Food packaging, preservation, shelf-life extension, and sensory science including consumer acceptance studies
- Sustainable food systems, including food waste reduction, by-product valorization, and environmental sustainability
