As a result, the population in Panggreh Village has automatically increased. Several cases show that if there is a change or regional development in a location, then in a short time the land around it will also change progressively. The purpose of this study was to determine changes in the area of Panggreh Village due to the relocation of victims of the Sidoarjo Mud Disaster. Collecting data in this study using documentation, observation, questionnaires and literature studies. The analytical method used is quantitative descriptive analysis with a before-after analysis technique. The results showed that overall land use change in Panggreh Village has shown a significant increase which includes 4 factors or characteristics such as livelihoods, level of education, institutions and infrastructure. So it can be concluded that the Sidoarjo Mud Disaster also had an influence on regional changes in Panggreh Village. It is hoped government policies regarding land use and population can be realized in society so that there are no policy deviations starting from population growth deviant land use.</strong></p> Moch Shofwan, V. However, in educational environments with a religious background, challenges can arise in efforts to promote multiculturalism without ignoring existing religious values. This research aims to examine effective strategies and approaches in instilling multicultural values in schools with a religious background. The research method used is literature reflection to explore an in-depth understanding of the concept of multiculturalism and the challenges faced by schools with a religious background. The research results show that instilling the values of multiculturalism in schools can be done through an inclusive, dialogical and religious-based approach. The integration of a multicultural curriculum that includes cultural and religious aspects from various backgrounds is an effective way to teach tolerance, respect and better understanding of differences. In addition, intercultural education that promotes interfaith dialogue, seminars, visits to places of worship, and cultural exchange programs can be a means of strengthening multicultural awareness in schools with religious backgrounds. This research also emphasizes the important role of teachers in guiding students in understanding and appreciating multiculturalism, while still recognizing the religious values they adhere to. Schools with a religious background need to create an environment that supports interfaith dialogue and encourages tolerance through inclusive educational policies and practices.</p> Niken Puspitasari Copyright (c) 2024 Niken Puspitasari https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/ijgsme/article/view/26930 Thu, 01 Feb 2024 00:00:00 +0700 PODCAST MULTIMEDIA IN INQUIRY LEARNING: FOSTERING ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS AND ATTITUDES FOR GEOGRAPHY STUDENTS https://journal.unesa.ac.id/index.php/ijgsme/article/view/29700 <p>This research is purposely to discover the influence of inquiry learning model with assistance of podcast based learning media in increasing the awareness and environmental care for geography students.
