PELATIHAN IDENTIFIKASI BAKAT, MINAT DAN KEMAMPUAN: MEMPERSIAPKAN GURU BK UNTUK MENDUKUNG KARIR SISWA SMK

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to increase understanding and improve the ability to design activities to identify students' talents, interests, and abilities school counselors of public and private vocational schools in Kediri Regency. The PKM method used is training with material presentation steps through webinars, presentation of case examples, simulations of designing activities to identify students' talents, interests, and abilities, practice in creating programs for identifying students' talents, interests, and abilities, and giving structured assignments. The number of participants in this PKM activity was 20 school counselors on vocational schools in Kediri Regency. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the PKM, it can be concluded that there is an increase in understanding and an increase in the ability to design activities to identify students' talents, interests, and abilities, there is a change in perception and attitude that is getting better towards the training and there is mastery of skills in compiling activities to identify students' talents, interests, and abilities as well as an increase in observation scores during the participants' practice of identifying students' talents, interests, and abilities. Recommendations from this PKM activity are that the skills to identify students' talents, interests, and abilities need to be disseminated to other school counselors who have not yet participated in the training.
